I used a driver to tighten nuts, which popped one weld on the bar…OOPS!.. but it’s still solid and secure. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Like a few others, I had canopy clamps that I added to the flat edge on the box frame, not because it wasn’t already secure, but this made it rock solid. There was one sharp burr on one bar that had to be knocked off, so I’d say caution handling when unpackaging/assembling, you won’t want to be sliced open… this is a simple thing to sand or hammer off, but need to be aware of. Overall, I’d say this was a great investment, and it both looks good, but is super solid, will be no problem carrying a few kayaks!! Edit… It’s a few months later, bought this in February it’s April now. This thing has paid for itself a dozen times over at least. Cannot say enough good things about this rack. Best investment I made all year so far.
